Techprocess was originally set up by the ICICI Group in 2000 as BillJunction.com, an early pioneer in digital payments. In Feb 2017 the company was acquired by Ingenico Group of France (world leader in point-of-sale terminals) from a clutch of foreign and Indian private equity investors. It now processes more than 250 million transactions a year with >USD30 billion in Gross Transaction Value and is currently the largest recurring payments processor in India. From Jan 2008 to March 2010, Anand was Chief Financial Officer of Barclays Finance, the consumer finance arm of Barclays India. The Company had 119 branches and 4 controlling offices in 49 Indian cities under the brand ‘Barclays Finance’. As of Sep 2009, Barclays Finance had a loan book of approximately INR 12 billion with 75000+ borrowers. The company employed approx 680 full-time and 1700 agency staff.
