Electric Utility Distribution Networks, Medium & Low Voltage Overhead and Underground Distribution Line Engineering on behalf of the Hellenic Public Electric Utility Networks Company.Over this period more than 100 projects have been designed and built, with a total length of overhead & underground powerlines designed in excess of 1.700km, with a total estimated construction costs of 70.000.000€.These projects varied from simple LV property connections to the design of new 20kV MV Distribution lines. Utilising ACSR/AAAC/CU Overhead Line Conductors as well as LV ABC stranded cables.For that purpose I developed a custom AutoCAD software application and utilities to automate and enhance the Design of Overhead Medium/Low Voltage Public Utility Electric Power Lines, using AutoLISP, OpenDCL, C++ ObjectARX/DBX and Microsoft Visual Studio C++ development tools• AutoLISP utility to input MV Distribution Line data to automate drafting and store line related data within the geo-located digital drawing.• AutoLISP utility to automatically generate Distribution Single Line Diagram as well as the input text file for SIEMENS PSS/ADEPT™ 5.2 for further analysis by the Hellenic Public Electric Utility Networks Company saving hours of manual work.• AutoCAD Symbol Library for the design and drafting of MV/LV Distribution Line construction documentation.• Advanced “PWRLine” AutoCAD ObjectARX/DBX application to streamline and enhance MV/LV Distribution Line construction documentation. This tool dramatically reduces the time required to produce detailed construction documentation and bill of materials (BOM) for project cost calculations. A construction detailed drawing that normally takes several hours to produce using standard AutoCAD tools can be generated within minutes using the application.• GPS/GNSS RTK Surveying using equipment from STONEX S9 GNSS and Carson’s SurvCE software with bespoke MV/LV Distribution Line data input.
