Hello, I'm Anchal Gupta, a computer science graduate student at UMass Amherst, set to graduate in May 2024. Currently, I'm a 6-month intern with Amazon Robotics, where I'm contributing to the Virtual Systems Team within Amazon's fulfillment and delivery network.In this role, my focus has been on simulation and modeling, where I've played a crucial part in optimizing robotic solutions. One of my standout accomplishments has been the implementation of dynamic input pipelines, which enable us to tailor discrete-event simulation models using a combination of AWS CDK, step functions, lambdas, and Java. This innovation has significantly accelerated our simulation timelines, achieving an impressive 70% reduction in processing time.Prior to my role at Amazon, I had the privilege of interning at Expedia Group, where in the Supply Competitive Intelligence team, I engineered user-friendly systems by creating visual representations of JSON configurations stored in Cassandra. I also designed JavaScript Modules to automatically generate hierarchy JSON using jqTree, AngularJS, and ExpressJS.My passion lies in Systems and Data Science, where I've gained a solid foundation and hands-on experience. I've had the opportunity to work on exciting projects such as the Distributed Stock Trading System, where I successfully deployed microservices on AWS EC2 instances using Docker Compose and leveraged NGINX as a reverse proxy to ensure seamless operations. I have 2 publications in machine learning and have worked with technologies such as Node.js, React, Angular, C++, Java, HTTP, Hadoop, AWS, JavaScript, Spark, Machine Learning tools like numpy and pandas etc. I'm excited about the possibilities in software engineering and am actively seeking opportunities to apply my skills and knowledge.
