About Anders Ingeman Rasmussen
Since entering the IT business more than 20 years ago, I have always enjoyed taking part in designing and developing high performance software by focusing on the underlying systems – involving real-time processing of signalling from external systems such as network equipment. After 19 years developing software in the telecommunications industry, I have gained specific knowledge of architecture and problem solving, both internally and based on customer requirements. Lately I have been using my knowledge and experience in the financial industry. As a result of my rather inquisitive nature, I run an internet portal in my spare time promoting the use of open source software. Most of all, working with my own business has taught me a great deal in terms of optimizing websites for both users and search-engines (SEO), authoring and structuring content besides negotiating with advertisement networks, cloud providers and freelancers such as writers and translators.Specialties:software developmentanalysisdesignimplementationarchitecturedistributed systemsreal-time systemsnetwork developmentdatabasescuriousproblem solvingeager to learnagile methodsscrumextreme programming

Software Developer
At the time I started Belle Systems was mainly a project based software house with two divisions - network and internet. The internet part took care of creating large web solutions based on in-house developed CMS. The network did a lot of gateway and protocol conversion development for customers all of Europe. The main areas at the time was VideoText, X.25 and PPP.Belle Systems helped build software for the first internet provider in Denmark, which quickly expanded to other ISPs - and is dial-up and later ADSL became more common and standardized, this became the main focus of the company.I started by developing gateways for specialized dial-up terminals (half-duplex) to communicate with bank mainframe. But soon after I got involved in developing our RADIUS AAA (authentication, authorization and accounting) server, which later became part of the company's core product aimed at large ISPs. To support large deployments and manage network resources for ISPs I was involved in developing a Session Repository that could manage resources in real-time.Later our focus shifted to include rating and charging - and I was part of developing the solution to support this. We based the solution on top of an Oracle database. The combined solution allowed ISPs to have Virtual ISPs, charge for access, roaming, VPN and finally VoIP.
