Pilton Community Health Project has been working to tackle health inequalities in North Edinburgh since 1984. We use a social model of health, and a community development approach to work with local people to identify and deliver solutions.

Promoting and developing excellent services for older people through an active process of people participation, partnership working and project management. Local and national project initiatives challenged isolation and promoted health through a planned and sustained programme of person centred support including lunch and learning meet ups, social events, regular hobby and interest groups (bridge, music, book clubs, quilting, walking, learning, golf, shopping, visits, coffee mornings). Practical support and companionship through Home from Hospital, Good Neighbours and transport co-ordination. Working closely with individuals, national and local businesses and organisations, funders independent agencies, Local Authorities and volunteers - with a focus on enriching older people's choices, lives and communities by tackling obstacles to living A Good Life.

Full time student, completed the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development Professional Development (CIPD) Programme and the Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.

A full range of statutory and communications publications from concept, draft, design briefs, publishing and distribution. Annual reports, information and promotional work. Promotion to the marketing and public relations team, additional work included securing community and national sponsorship for the international events festival programmes, liaising and meeting the wide range of needs of performers, venue co-ordination, promotional planning and debriefs. Four years part time Communications Advertising and Marketing Education Foundation Limited (CAM) Certificate in Communication Studies and the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations, Strategy and Management.

Launch of KiwiSport, Women into Sport and the grassroots community funding initiatives. All PR, market research (first Life in New Zealand study with the Royal Society), media relations and central government liaison. International bid teams for two codes.
