I graduated with a bachelor's degree in environmental science with a minor in political science in June, 2023. My passion for the environment drives my studies, and I am eager to use my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the world. Through my coursework in environmental science, I have gained a strong understanding of the scientific principles and techniques used to understand and solve environmental problems. My minor in political science has also provided me with an understanding of the policy-making processes that can shape environmental policies and regulations. I hope to use my skills and knowledge to help protect and preserve the natural world for future generations.I have taken an abundance of classes that aid in my ability to perform environmental fieldwork and lab work. These classes have provided me with a strong foundation in the scientific principles and techniques used to understand and solve environmental problems and have equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct research and analyze data in both field and laboratory settings. Through coursework in subjects such as chemistry, biology, and toxicology, I have gained a strong understanding of the natural processes that govern the environment and how to use scientific methods to study these processes in the field and in the lab. Overall, my coursework has prepared me to be a confident and capable researcher in both the environmental field and lab work.My hands-on fieldwork experience has provided me with valuable skills and knowledge that will prepare me for the future. Through my fieldwork, I have gained practical experience collecting data, working with a team, and solving problems in a real-world setting. I have also had the opportunity to apply the scientific principles and techniques I have learned in my coursework to real-world problems, which has given me a deeper understanding of these concepts. In addition, my fieldwork experience has allowed me to develop strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to adapt to new and challenging situations. Overall, my hands-on fieldwork experience has given me a well-rounded skill set that will be valuable in my future career in the environmental field.
