Designing enduser relevant products and experiences

I'm super proud to have been part of this amazing project to create a new campus on the waterfront in Copenhagen, for The Copenhagen International School. We have worked hard to expand the possible on a multitude of fronts in school building, while staying on budget and time schedule and have succeeded in creating a flexible and people centric space.To provide the best possible learning and working environment has been a close collaboration with students, teachers, parents and the architects CF Møller as well as with the generous foundations who helped to make it possible, but also by learning from schools around the world we have strived to build an inclusive, transparent and open community around learning. We have tripled the airflow to ensure the best air quality, increased window areas, eliminated anonymous hallways and made unique spaces for all learning modalities (cave-space, watering-hole, campfire and community spaces, natural oak wood floorsWe have improved the lighting conditions by ensuring multidirectional natural light that can be adjusted through multilayers curtains in all classrooms and with high quality LED lamps from XAL that allow users to individually and easily adjust intensity and color temperature both of the surroundings and task lighting to fit the current activity.We have designed and provided ergonomic seating and tables for all students and staff that provide 120 degree seating angles to lower back and neck strain in collaboration with Labofa.Last but not least we conceptualized and implemented one of the worlds largest custom BIPV systems in the 12.000 panel facade that covers the entire school. I designed the cladding concept and worked with SolarLab who engineered, produced and installed this 6.000 sqm facade and the architects to make it a beautiful building that show the way towards more sustainable architecture.
