My task was to lead the modernization of an internal API. Plejd develops products in lighting and home automation, where this service was used by several teams. The work involved decommissioning an old PHP system and building a replacement in TypeScript with Node.js. I contributed with my understanding of the requirements and how the complexity of the system could be handled more efficiently than before. The result was that the new system followed principles that made further development easier.

I had the role of a backend developer at a startup that developed a marketing service based on Facebook’s Graph API. Users interacted with the system through Messenger and had the ability to subscribe to newsletters created by companies through a web app. The company consisted of two business developers and two developers, and I had overall responsibility for backend development. I worked closely with the business developers on requirements and prioritizing user feedback. The system was built in Node.js and hosted on Heroku.I laid the foundation for a technical platform that could grow with the company.
