In this role I acted as liaison between customers and installers through the Warmer Home Scotland scheme. Through this, customers can get energy efficiency measures fitted in to their properties. I took inbound calls along with working through the inbox and other queues. This role tied in with a previous job, however I was given the opportunity to give advice face to face.

In this role I provide free and impartial advice to customers that are looking to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, either through insulation and/or renewable technologies. A large part of this role involves making referrals to certain schemes that customers may be eligible for to help them afford these types of home improvements. This can range from interest free loans to grant funding. I can do this either by taking inbound calls, making outbound calls or by email correspondence.The main goal of this role is to reduce fuel poverty in Scotland, so I work with a number of vulnerable customers that struggle to keep their homes warm and afford their energy bills. I help these customers by looking at how they use the appliances within their homes and try and advise them on how they can use these appliances more efficiently. I can help customers apply for fuel bank vouchers for their prepayment meters if they struggle to top up the meter.This role in mainly telephony work however I do a lot of email correspondence as well for customers that cannot find the time to call. I also do offline "champion" work for the transport sector as I am the transport "champion". I have managed to achieve a level 6 (Higher) in City & Guilds and also a level 7 (Advanced Higher) in Domestic Renewable Energy.
