Staff to the Policy and Systems Development Committee and Adult System of Care Committees. Healthcare workforce development, recruitment and retention of under represented populations into underserved areas.

Healthcare Workforce Development Division/Health Careers Training Program - Assessed current healthcare workforce distribution, health disparities, and access issues, and creatively addressed systemic improvements. Recruited and retained culturally competent healthcare personnel into underserved areas using web site recruitment methods and direct interaction with community health stakeholders. Developed strategies with educators and employers to develop pipeline programs through schools, recruit from community outreach programs, and promoted cultural and linguistic competency standards and resource information for existing clinics, health professionals, and students. Provided division webmaster services and developed recruitment materials for targeted campaign efforts. Analyst California Performance Review

One of 250 participants selected out of 2,500 applicants. Investigated impact of current state policies and procedures on customer service and recommended improvements based on best practices of other states, nations, and the federal government. Prioritized issues based on public input, cost efficiencies and savings, and ease of implementation. Thoroughly researched and compared the methodologies of other government entities as well as private sector trends. Developed change recommendations and five-year implementation schedules that were demographically and fiscally driven.
