Concurrently operate Viking & Mayan (a technical consulting practice), large career emphasis on new product/intellectual property development, patent applications, litigation bulldog, sales and marketing, with vast illustrated brochure design/production background and experience with e-commerce site design/development, construction project management assistance, drawing, submittals and as-builts. Prolific technical writer/illustrator with significant operations and maintenance manual creation (including a single document at 440+pages for Caterpillar heavy equipment customers).Experienced in floating cover design and development, anaerobic digester liner and cover systems (co-inventor/patent awarded), geomembrane liner, baffle and floating cover applications on a design/build basis. Cellular confinement erosion control work, oil & gas frac and produced water containment system designer including probably the largest bladder systems ever deployed (multi-country patents pending). Significant work with above ground storage tanks including development of patented floating cover systems widely used coast to coast in the US and British Columbia that are the most robust/successful cover of their type within entire industry. Frac water storage system design/construction in the Northern Territory of Australia oil and gas fields.Technical tasks such as robotic machine designer/builder, project manager, illustrator, draftsman, technical paper writer, researcher, field installation supervision (MSHA/HAZWOPER), fabrication plant manager/plant implementation developer, some 3-D modeling & design 3D printing for scientific instruments, new product development (approx. 10 patents), structural steel fabrication, jig and form creation. I have worked to support commercial algae cultivation for over 30 years and pioneered development of membrane liner materials and fabrication technologies including APIAC™ structural steel + liner raceway pond kits for Duke University, the University of Sultan Qaboos in Oman and Micro Bio Engineering of San Luis Obispo, CA. as well as composite paddle wheel design and manufacturing.I thrive in developing specialty solutions to customer needs. In my spare time I designed and built a remotely controlled marine research vessel for San Diego State University/NOAA for use in calibrating satellite data processing algorithms that solves major issues.
