After playing Rugby at the highest level in South Africa and club rugby in France and Italy I decided to go into coaching.I am a highly motivated and ambitious rugby coach and have vast coaching experience at school , club and professional level in South Africa and Ireland. Everywhere I coach I embrace the challenge and the experience and want to leave the players ,club and community in a better place. I have a very close affiliation and love for the Irish culture, their people , their love for rugby and their close community spirit. To get more experience in working with woman and the 7 's format of the game, I have taken up my previous position as National Coaching Consultant to the URF in central Asia where I was actively involved in coaching the coaches and recruiting and coaching younger players to represent their country at national level.(Men and Woman's -7's and 15's) I'm a firm believer that we as coaches have to continuously grow and develop in order to create a positive ,learning environment where the players can learn and grow as individuals and experience every practise as being their "Best Practise". Better Coaching---Better Players---Better TeamMy experience also include LTPD and identifying and working with young players to gain the necessary skills ,attitude , character and BMT to represent their country at international level.Other aspects I put huge focus on is: 1. Quick Thinking =quick decission making =Quick Reactions 2, Creating "options" on attack3. positive communication4. Character and teambuildingTo be successful as a team you either "buy" a team or you "built" a team. In the professional era the best place to "built" a team as at school level-hence I took up my current position as DOR at Union High school in Graaff Reinet.
