I have worked in a range of industries from mining and surveying, to education and retail, to engineering, informatics and software development. My workplaces have included sampling vessels, corporate headquarters, small offices and remote work. My earliest experience was in teaching, retail and accounting. As an Engineering Geologist in a multinational dredging company, I maximised production and sampling efficiency while minimising environmental impact. This experience gave me the opportunity to develop automation, database management, spatial data science and GIS skills. Recently I have increasingly applied artificial intelligence techniques to geographic problems and spatial optimisation. My other skills include statistics, communication, organisation, adaptability, planning and teamwork. I currently work in the renewable energy sector, on wind turbine potential analysis, micrositing optimisation and cartography.
