Currento Manufacturing Buyer - Manage performance of existing vendors on delivery, quality, price and service. Liaison with suppliers and follow up on purchase orders.o Provide manufacturing parts, equipment and materials by identifying manufacturing needs and arranging deliveryo Research and evaluate purchases; prepare bids and manage the bidding processo Is sue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on past due orders; maintain shortage reporto Main vendor relations o Approves requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy and completenesso Resolve supply chain issues and quality discrepancies between vendor and manufacturingo Expediter – Create various reports; review requisitions log; monitor open order report for due dates; address problem purchase orders; verify part numbers; vendor/supplier selection; on-site visits with suppliers; o Communicate with suppliers open and/or past due orderso Identify and resolve expedition issueso Buyer – Run buy-item report; review requisitions log; monitor open order report for due dates; address problem purchase orders; verify part numbers; vendor/supplier selection; on-site visits with suppliers; purchase items through Peoplesoft; o Review contracts and terms and conditions relative to purchase requirementso Create purchase orders using PeopleSofto Vendor relations
