I started with the company in 2013 as a Plant manager Trainee, after completing my bachelors degree in Business Administration/management. After completing program, I was promoted to a deboning production supervisor. I switched roles within a year from a deboning supervisor to a Perfect Perfect Portion supervisor, which both were responsible for about 50 associates. After 2 years of being in that role, I was promoted to the Perfect Portion Superintendent. Responsible for 100 associates, 4 multivacs, and also oversaw the shipping department (RC and Weight/Price and labeling). I switch roles after 2 years, I became the deboning Superintendent and took on a new project. The company went from hand deboning to Auto deboners in 2018, which was a major project and culture change in the facility. This role was responsible for 215 associates. Throughout the journey, tons of training courses and experience were gained. Including 5s, BRC audit, Leadership Build courses, project management, and more. I also received a "Perdue Excellence Award" for customer satisfaction and outstanding accomplishments.As of August 2020, I am responsible for the Cutup, Deboning, Perfect Portions, and Mechanically separated chicken department which amounts to 550 associates.

  I am currently responsible for the Cutup, Deboning, Perfect Portions, and Mechanically separated chicken department which amounts close to 550 associates. Production Superintendent is responsible for plant effectiveness and efficiency for a section of the Lewiston, NC Perdue processing plant. This person provides direction, training, coaching, directing to Team Leaders and indirectly to hourly production associates. They work to achieve company established goads on production activities and provides a safe and secure working environment for all associates utilizing company-approved processes.The Superintendent promotes a positive working relationship with the production and support staff to make the company the Employer of Choice.Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Establishes, measures and is accountable for operating, as well as capital budgets for the assigned area in a manner to enable the operation to maintain a competitive position in the industry.Meets all facility operational plans, to ensure yield, birds per man-hour, pounds per man-hour, line efficiency, CSI, QI requirements are met.Ensures processes are in place to continuously reduce turnover, improve safety results as measured by the Safety Scorecard, and create the environment that will make the facility the Employee of Choice in the area.Ensures processes are in place to continually provide training to improve supervisory skills of staff, and improve the skill set of the hourly production associates to maximize the results of individual and team efforts.Constantly develops new ideas and methods to improve operational performance and improve product quality and customer reliability.Supports and promotes the Company's annual People, Products, Profitability and Planet goals through effective planning, communication, emphasizing the requirement for all team members to be efficient and effective in their respective responsibilities.
