I am an experienced robotics engineer with a specialism in machine learning, robot learning and computer vision. I have 15 years of experience working across a variety of roles in both academia and industry, ranging from C++ software development for spectrum surveillance, to image-guided surgery and computer-aided diagnostics, to household robotics.For the past 8 years, I have worked as a robotics research engineer at Dyson, with a particular focus on developing, programming and maintaining complex robotic perception platforms to operate in real-world, unstructured environments. I led a Machine Learning and Perception team, co-led a Task Intelligence team within the broader robotics research function and was responsible for driving collaborations with the Dyson Robotics Lab at Imperial College London. I consider myself an expert in the domains of deep learning, scene understanding, robot learning and Python-based software development. I have a PhD in computer vision and machine learning, an MSc in medical imaging and a BSc in mechatronics and have actively maintained a CPD portfolio throughout my career.
