Leading a team of senior managers and engineers responsible for the design development ofinterior cruise ship public spaces, cabins and catering areas. Planning resources and managing the recruitment for the department. Each team member has a dedicated brand projects and is responsible for coordinating therelevant architects and lighting designers (no. of consultants is dependent on the size of theNB projects). Working collaboratively with brand teams to ensure design aligns with brand strategy.Providing architecture coordination in relation to Carnival Group Shipbuilding: participating inthe design and development of public rooms, open decks and cabins, layout drawings andevaluation of specifications. Developing new vessels specification and new platforms, including luxury expedition cruiseships. Accountability for design development and communication between all stakeholders (architects, yard, owner, corporate entities, etc).Ensuring the design and construction meet all the desired functional and design objectives.Working closely with shipyards and contractors, managing the coordination of Owner’sinvolvement in the yard activities, coordinating logistics and relevant schedules. Monitoring the progress of construction of the vessels to ensure that the work in the shipyardsfollows the approved drawings and specification and complies with the selected marinestandards.
