I am a passionate and driven educator of 20 pls years. Throughout my career, I have held several leadership roles in Prince George’s County Public Schools. Such positions include Special Education Chairperson, Central Office Mentor Teacher, National Board of Professional Teaching Certification Cohort Lead, and Mentor. I also have experience teaching special education Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for teachers fulfilling requirements for state certification. I am currently a Special Education Instructional Specialist, and my role includes creating, planning, facilitating, coaching, and monitoring the professional learning of district personnel charged with educating students with disabilities. In addition to being a National Board Certification Teacher, I hold certifications in special education and school administration. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education front eh University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership from George Washington University. The well-being of others, especially my loved ones and those I’m charged with leading, is vital to me. As a certified Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator, Yoga Instructor and Strength Coach , I actively seek opportunities to embed and share wellness tips, tools, techniques, and practices into the professional learning I share with educators, students, families, and clients.
