The intership was the first in collaboration of Impact Lives and Twin Cities YMCA. It involves to expose interns to think, to create and to execute an innovative project with community members in a community setting to impact greatly in services, an organization or a need in a community. The project: The team developed 20 interviews to staff and participants in the Blaisdell YMCA. The team gather information of needs, strengths of the organization. Of the many strengths, teens leadership at Blaisdell was a growing population.The team develop a further research on the issue of child obesity, nutritional choices in the cities. The team pitched the idea that later it was refined into educating and training a youth group from the Multicultural Achievers to give information of eating healthy and with them developing ideas of healthy meals for the public during the annual healthy kids days at the Blaisdell YMCA. Multicultural Achievers is an after school program that provides a forum for High School and Junior High students to focus on goal setting, exploring secondary and post-secondary options and college tours. Students participate in team building, leadership skill development and increasing academic achievement. The programming is run by college students with the skill to deliver workshops base on their experiences and talents to empower the students. The location of afters school is at El Colegio Charter School in Minneapolis. The types of deliberative content is on financial literacy, budgeting, choosing a career, why college matters, and tours to a variety of college campuses.

The event was for a weekend, and I was fortunate to participated for two consecutives years until my 18's. My artwork is jewelry that vary from materials such as silver, beads, natural beads, and semiprecious beads. My creativity, willingness to learned, and like to make things made me at the age of 9 years old take jewelry classes and sell them to friends. Since then, I still make jewelry with a story begin it.
