I completed my Bachelor of Applied Science (Forensic Investigation) in 2007 and my Diploma of Forensic Document Examination in 2012, both from the Canberra Institute of Technology. I was employed as a Forensic Document and Handwriting Examiner by Forensic Document Services Pty Ltd from 2006 to 2018 and have been consulting to Strach Forensic Pty Ltd since December 2018. As well as undertaking forensic document and handwriting examination casework and submitting reports in various jurisdictions across Australia, I conduct research in many areas of forensic document examination with a keen interest in electronic signatures and I am involved in the research and development of the technology and its applications both in industry and in forensic examinations. I have presented on the scope of forensic document examination to investigators and lawyers at various forums including in-house, conferences and training days. I have assisted in running training courses on front-line document authentication and document examination awareness for banks, financial institutions and government departments both in Australia and overseas. I provide fingerprint collection (ten print) services for police record checks, visa applications and to meet other regulatory requirements. I am a member of the Australasian Society of Forensic Document Examiners Incorporated (ASFDE Inc.), the Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society (ANZFSS) and the Australian Institute of Professional Investigators (AIPI). I have been a corresponding member of the American Society of Questioned Document Examiners (ASQDE) and a member of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences (UK) and the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators (IAFCI). I have attended and contributed to meetings and conferences hosted by most of these organisations as well as by the Australian Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS).
