This position holder, reporting into the Senior Director Strategic Sourcing, leads the global strategic capacity management process. This includes creating, modifying and maintaining long term E2E demand and capacity models for products in scope, across Janssen Supply Chain (JSC) network and strategic partners. The position holder develops what-if scenarios, upside/downside demand/capacity implications to drive strategic decision in collaboration with many functions, including strategic capacity analyses, recommendations for network configuration, new product allocation.Scope is related to 3 EMEA sites (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland) within different platform (Solids, Liquids & Creams, Transdermals, Parenterals)

This position holder, reporting into the Senior Director Strategic Sourcing, leads the global strategic capacity management process for a specific portfolio of products. This includes creating, modifying and maintaining long term E2E demand and capacity models for these products, across the entire Janssen Supply Chain (JSC) manufacturing network and some of our strategic partners. The position holder will develop what-if scenarios, provide upside/downside demand/capacity implications, assess and validate the models from multiple points of view. In this position I'm responsible for managing the long term capacity models in the strategic capacity management tool. This includes preparing strategic analyses and recommendations for network configuration scenarios, new product introductions, inventory analyses, capacity changes in the network as well as challenging assumptions/situations according to business needs collaborating with different people in the organization when developing strategic capacity plans.The position holder works with senior Global Leadership to resolve constraints via process improvement, product transfer and investment in JSC sites and strategic partners.

In current position I’m responsible to coordinate the group of Manufacturing Planners following 37 lines, 200 SKUs and over 4 billion tabs volume, with the aim to guarantee product delivered on time to internal (packaging dept.) and external customer. I’m in continuous contact with internal stakeholders (QA/QC, PRODUCTION, TECHNICAL SERVICES) to assure alignment between customer demand and production plan taking into consideration all the activities related to new product introduction or product transfers. My responsibility is also to assure the material procurement process is followed and aligned with packaging and manufacturing plans in the full respect of the site inventory strategies. Issue and escalations on material procurement is done involving Global Procurement Team and Quality groups when needed. In this role I should follow the Budget process jointly with Global Planning and the Strategic scenarios preparations supporting the Reliability and Capacity Management team in data gathering and results reliability. In this role leadership and focus on people engagement is the key success factor as well as focus on achieving business goals.

In this position I was in charge to prepare mid-term horizon manufacturing plans, solids and liquids, for dispensing, granulation, compression, filling, coating and inspection. In my responsibility there was also the purchasing of the raw materials and APIs required to sustain the plan in full respect of the inventory strategies. During this activity I’ve completed the “Procurement and Raw Materials Optimization” project to optimize the procurement policies that drove to a reduction of the obsolescence cost of 50%, reduction of receiving complexity of 15%, and inventory reduction of 20%. I’ve also followed the logistic aspects of the introduction for a new business, dialoging directly with the potential customers and installing the supply, looking also to the details of the planning procedures and Service level agreement.

In this position I was in charge to produce analytical reports to overlook the mid term plant capacity, to correctly set the shop floor resources and presenting results to management. In this position I focused also on the modeling with a genetic optimizer tool to allocate a basket of products trough different operational plants in Europe looking to Tactical Horizon in collaboration with the Solid Platform team. With the same tool I’ve also followed the implementation of a manufacturing scheduling tool internal to the plant with the aim to keep all constraints in the model and enforce the PULL approach reducing cycle times. I was also in charge to collaborate with Reliability and Capacity Management team to provide data and assure results reliability in the strategic horizons
