Responsible for leading and/or coaching with Lean/continuous improvement initiatives in the Company. This includes: ensuring all projects are focused on business results, facilitating Lean theory pertaining to all projects, coaching and mentoring others in Lean methodology and Lean leadership, analyzing baseline metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement.

•Managed the At Risk Account program: including root cause analysis of ongoing issues, facilitated corrective action and acted as liaison for Sales with Operations and Administrative Departments. Direct contact with Customers as required.•Analyzed terminal costs and facilitated the terminals in meeting their budgets. This included: procedural and overspending analysis and the development and execution of action plans.•Analyzed data on load factor. This included: identifying lanes where opportunity existed and assisted with the development and execution of action plans to increase load factor and revenue per trailer.•Reviewed and approved the monthly Profit and Loss statement for Finance for distribution.

•Project Leader and operations liaison for the Automated Broker Pay project.•Worked closely with the I.S. Department on the development and testing of all facets of the Automated Broker Pay project.•Performed in depth audits of existing system and provided feedback to Terminal Managers, Regional Managers and the Vice President of Operations on the application of contracts and/or paying outside the contract.•Provided Help Desk support to the field on using the new system.•Worked closely with the I.S. Department on the development and testing of the new fuel program. Performed analysis of proposed changes and implications to the Company and its Owner Operators.

•Coordinated the development of training programs including; needs assessment, program research, creating and/or obtaining training materials.•Responsible for the delivery and presentation of training programs in the areas of administration, customer service, AS400 systems training, Routronics, dock and terminal operations.•Worked with terminals on improving on-time service and reducing costs.•Help desk support to field on AS400functions

•Managed internal and external recruitment process including: recruiting, advertising, screening, administering pre-employment tests, interviewing and letters of offers for candidates. Responsibilities also include the writing, revising and issuing of employment/hiring policies and procedures.•Managed the Company Management Trainee program; including the recruitment, screening, interviewing, selection and performance monitoring of the Trainees. •Administered the Health & Safety Program.•Issued monthly Company head count report and turnover statistics.•Administered the Employment Equity Program; includes the statistical analysis of the representation of the four designated groups in the Day & Ross workforce.•Responsible for Privacy Act issues; includes ensuring compliance of procedures to not violate employees or customers privacy, writing or revising policies/procedures as needed, investigating privacy complaints or responding to requests for information.
