Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations of wind turbines aiming to analyse specific aerodynamic effects.

Working in wind energy unit:- Completing my master’s thesis on wind turbines aerodynamics specially the tip loss effect.- Processing data from different projects (e.g. IEA, UEA, MEXICO) in order to arrive on conclusions related to tip losses.- Developing an empirical model to predict aerodynamic loads over the blade.- Use of computational tools in order to asses the tip loss effect and to compare with other models.

Teaching Assistant of the complementary section of the course Graphical Design for Engineers. This course addresses the engineering drawing as language and shows its importance as a powerful design and communication tool. The course is based on projects that challenge and create the need for the student to convey their ideas using contemporary tools and techniques of design and computer-aided drafting (CAD).

My position in this company was product of some activities performed in my previous work (O-I Peldar), mainly done in the departmen of Environment, Health and Safe at the end of my stage there. My work here was intended to execute different tasks of the environmental and safety program of the company e.g:- Training in rational use of resources (water and electricity).- Monitoring the correct execution of the maintenance program.- Supervision of compliance with environmental regulations.- To write, update and implement the security and safety program (protocol) which was been implemented by the company.

During my stage at O-I Peldar I worked in the department of Mechanical Maintenance. The purpose of my stage was to improve the existent maintenance program as well as to participate in maintenance tasks and projects mostly in the planning stage.Among other tasks, I planned and executed the energy efficiency program in order to decrease the energy (electricity and fuel) consumption into the company.
