    My passion is nutrition and wellness! It’s never too late to improve your health and quality of life. I am here to help, support and motivate individuals to achieve results. I aim to create a positive and fun atmosphere, whether I am leading group fitness, personal training or health coaching! Additionally, I believe that food is wonderfully powerful. Positive food choices can lead to improved mood and energy, which can fuel our bodies for physical activity. And when we feel well, we are more capable of living life to the fullest!I am a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. I studied my 200 Hours of Yoga Training at The Serenity School of Yoga in Iowa City!I have also received training in Therapeutic Touch. I am registered participant in Level 1 Therapeutic Touch. I also have been trained in an Integrative Wellness Program by Vivage Quality Health Partners, which includes but not limited to Aromatherapy, Holistic Dining, Yoga, Drum and Rhythm Circles, Meditation and Relaxation. Furthermore, I am a Workshop Leader for Stepping On Falls Prevention; an evidence-based program that empowers older adults to carry out health behaviors that reduce the risk of falls. Also, I am currently a Master Gardener. The Extension Master Gardeners is an internationally recognized volunteer program. The program exists in all fifty states, and in Iowa is coordinated by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach with support from the Department of Horticulture. I have implemented a 60' x 30' community garden at Friendship Haven for residents to participate in well-being outside of a the gym setting. I am also a SilverSneakers Healthways Instructor. I have taken the training workshops in Classic, Yoga and Splash!I am a Certified Tai Chi Instructor! I most recently became certified as a Total Barre Instructor. And in April of 2017 I became a member and distributor with YOLI! I am currently working toward becoming a certified Health Coach through ACE.
