As I reflect on my professional experiences throughout my undergraduate degree, my favorite to date was my 2023 summer internship with the City of Roseville. The highlight of my summer internship, by far, was researching Environmental Justice action planning.After reviewing numerous climate action plans, I found that the best strategy was to administer an Environmental Justice working group. This committee would help hold Roseville accountable for guaranteeing equal levels of environmental protection and political involvement. I presented this recommended action at the end of my internship. Excitingly, my proposal was accepted and is now scheduled for 2024 implementation.
