Lima Province, Peru
1. Fieldwork of 5 months duration, where I have identified and created contacts with the local trade union movement, employers' organizations and local NGOs, conducted 7 interviews with key stakeholders as well as analyzed concepts such as informal economics, labor rights, social dialogue and conditions for the local trade union movement.2. Results: The fieldwork resulted in data, which I analyzed in collaboration with colleagues and transformed into a 45-page report, which concluded that Peru has an extremely fragile labor market with a large informal economy and a weak trade union movement. The report serves as a foundation for the future work of the Danish Trade Union Development Agency in Peru.
