Acting as a thought leader, I co-organize XBHR's annual conference, which brings together international employment lawyers from private practice and in-house counsel. This conference facilitates the exchange of best practices in Employment and HR and provides a platform for anticipating trends, for learning and collaboration among peers in the field.

In-house counsel at Austria's biggest retail bank, legal lead for all national and international employment and labour law matters. Main workforce was in Austria, the rest in Spain, UK, Ireland, Malta.Drafted contract templates, negotiated and adapted individual employment contracts; consultancy contracts; settlement agreements with employees in Austria and internationally. Provided legal support in the negotiations with the works council regarding a new works agreement on employee benefits, to ensure retention of top talent.Advised on all aspects of employment law, such as termination of contracts, transfers of undertakings, disciplinary sanctions, information and consultation rights of the works council, discrimination, employment of foreign citizens, etc.Since BAWAG had just been acquired by Cerberus, a U.S. based private equity firm, I served as the legal and cultural "translator" between representatives of the American buyer and local management/workforce.
