I’m Andrea, an industry-agnostic communicator with a developing focus on the cultural sector. My work experience spans a range of positions, underscoring keen adaptability. I’ve built my skillset from an integrated marketing communications approach, concentrating on the combination of advertising, public relations, digital media, and business development to result in consistent and creative branding.I’m currently based in Wales as a postgraduate student at Cardiff University, working toward a master’s degree in global cultures. The program focuses on the evolution of cultural industries in a global context, including insight into the creative economy, transnational cultural interactions, diversity, and individual creativity in an increasingly globalized world. My areas of interest include storytelling, folklore, publishing, cultural policy, ecological anthropology, and cinema. My previous role at the public relations agency Infinite Global instilled me with a refined sense of professionalism and work ethic. I worked with law firms and professional services organizations to foster and develop relationships with the media. By diligently monitoring news outlets for relevant stories, I successfully secured media exposure for clients in The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg News, and CNBC, among other national/international, trade, and local outlets. The legal practice areas I worked with included healthcare, financial services, privacy + data security, antitrust, appellate, real estate, environmental, IP, and more.My expertise further encompasses advertising, data management, event planning, and multimedia content creation. In an earlier role as the Social Media Marketing Manager for Pure Barre (Pittsburgh region), I built an extensive digital media portfolio. Prior, my internship at VisitPITTSBURGH stimulated my passion for travel and offered experience in international marketing, tourism, professional writing, and global media relations.As an undergraduate student, I participated in multiple study abroad programs which helped me cultivate a strong sense of global awareness. Summer 2018, I earned two scholarships for an internship and language program in Shanghai where I gained a unique perspective into cross-cultural professional life.
