Responsible for all elements of Chamber's high school reform initiative, Career Academies, a partnership between the local business community, Columbus State Community College and Columbus Public Schools. It consisted of 12 academies in 6 schools and addressed workforce needs in 6 critical industy areas.- Managed multiple federal grants (USDOE, USDOL) with $1 million+ budgets, including grant writing and performance reporting.- Created internship program and career-focused mentoring program. Recruited and trained mentors. Developed system to match and track relationships. Initiated system for teachers to request work-based learning experiences to connect students to the workplace and businesses to the classroom.- Presented Career Academies at national professional development conferences, and to local business partners.
