Peacebuilder. Immigrant. First-generation graduate. Data-driven. The youngest of six. Being born and raised in El Salvador in a gang-controlled neighborhood and experiencing community violence, I decided to dedicate my life to being a catalyst for social change. With 7+ years of experience in the social change field, I have coached 1000+ social initiatives worldwide and helped changemakers access seed funding to kick-start their projects. My work has turned organizations into better decision-makers. I have designed monitoring and evaluation systems and reports that have allowed organizations to learn from the people they serve, offer programs that respond to the needs of the communities, and create diverse and inclusive work cultures.I love being in the field and connecting with people. My skills include coaching on organizing and carrying out social change initiatives, project management, program design, research, monitoring, and evaluation. I hold a master’s degree from the University of San Diego in Peace and Justice Studies and a bachelor’s degree from Universidad Gavidia in International Relations with a minor in Monitoring and Evaluation. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I love the Beatles; I took a 20-hour bus ride once to see Paul McCartney in concert. I love ukuleles, which to me are the musical instruments of peace, and I adore traveling, having visited 30+ countries.
