Profile bio

About Andrea Caswell

15+ years of leadership in the creative industries, providing development strategy and community outreach for creative companies and artist teams, with a proven track record of driving exponential growth. My superpowers are authentic relationship building, adaptability, and forging new opportunities for businesses, arts organizations, and creatives.I thrive by supporting creative companies via strategic planning, project management, community engagement and communications support, event management, artist management, touring and logistics, and all things music. My journey has been non-linear. Multi-passionate and curious, I graduated with Honours from Queen’s University with degrees in International Development (BAH) and Theatre (BAH). I then graduated the Independent Music Production Program at Seneca College. As an artist, collaborating and learning from various communities of music-makers drove me to delve further into electronic and alternative modalities of creating and presenting music. This curiosity brought me to live and work in Berlin. I put my craft beer nerdery as a certified beer sommelier to use, and launched a craft beer education and event series for the award-winning Berlin brewery, Vagabund Brauerei - bringing craft beer education events to the forefront of Berlin’s emerging craft beer scene, designing and facilitating 30+ craft beer education events at the brewery and beyond. In 2016, I began working as a tour manager with JUNO winning Canadian children’s music act, Splash’N Boots, and became the company’s Director of Touring and Operations. I managed 300+ performances across Canada and led a rapid expansion of day-to-day operations and communications. Creating unique opportunities and a drive to nurture new connections led to unique outreach and performance opportunities in remote communities throughout Canada's North. I served as Programming Director with the Music Managers Forum of Canada from 2020 to 2023, and led the creation of a robust multi-streamed professional development department for the organization. I have a proven track record as a fierce advocate for creative entrepreneurs and artists and my work throughout my career has been driven by these values - to celebrate and empower artists and industry in their careers. In January 2024, I joined the marketing and communications team of dynamic creative strategists and content creators at PRS for Music. Our work is deeply rooted in defending and celebrating the value of human creativity and providing exceptional services to PRS members.

Listed skills include Event Planning, Event Management, Social Media, Craft Beer, and 22 others.
