Working with this company I have the opportunity to meet many people and achieve their wishes in just 30min. Some days I could be shooting more than a dozen photoshoots back to back. It’s been equally challenging as rewarding! I love working with people and getting their personalities to shine through in the images I capture of them.

Though my time working with Spoonful Magazine was short, it was filled with some amazing shoots with amazing people, like Judy Whiks. My focus was to set up shoots with cooks, style food, and photograph with print design in mind. I worked to meet quick turnarounds and meet the requirements of the format of the Magazine. Unfortunately my time was cut short due to the magazine needing to shut down.

I started at Seattle Magazine as an intern, where I handled multiple assignments at a time; photographed, edited, remained organized and was self sustaining, met deadlines, remained professional and worked on tight deadlines. My intern was 6 months long and worked with the support of the art director and the rest of the team. Throughout my time there I also assisted the Staff Photographer on day shoots and was an assets to the team. Following my internship I became a hired freelance photographer for Seattle Magazine and assigned big stories (10-20 page spreads )and had three cover story shoots with them during my time there. I worked at the magazine for nearly 4 years before moving to the east coast.

http://www.outdoorproject.comFor the season of summer /fall I spent my days driving to beautiful country sides and finding trails or camp grounds to document for the outdoor project. This company is a wonderful database for those outdoor lovers. My job was to write mini reports on the trail conditions, proper gps directions, mark waypoints, and photograph along the way. It was just as challenging as it was satisfying! My main goal was to utilize my time, hit deadlines, keep the branding of the company and organize my trip reports and travel to hike. This was a 4 month contract in which my work remains on their website to help others who want to visit those trails that I previously documented.

I worked with Jessica Quist for nearly 5 years as her main assistant at her buisness. I was her second pair of eyes and ears. I always remained professional and helpful, as I was representing her name and wanted to do my best at every wedding we shot together. I learned and grew so much as a person and a lifestyle photographer during these years.
