The teaching of mathematics must pass from calculation to reasoning, the knowledge of some formula and trivial applications is no longer sufficient. The "information society" requires very different skills, new skills to analyze increasingly complex data and situations, to solve new, fascinating problems and it is therefore necessary to know the new critical tools, which are essential to be able to participate as protagonists in the revolutionary changes in act.
