As a volunteer crisis worker at the Rape Recovery Center I underwent a 40 hour training through the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault to become a certified crisis worker. As a crisis worker, I answer calls from primary and secondary survivors of sexual assault. I assist in diffusing crisis situations, offering support and comfort, as well as providing resources to callers. At times I engage in community outreach including educational booths at community fairs and political events.
