• Created and maintained various databases of new and legacy data obtained from public and private servers, ongoing sampling activities and results, and printed and digital maps of project areas around Lake Okeechobee using MS Excel, MS Access, ESRI ArcGIS 10.x, and Google Earth Pro.• Ran statistical analyses on large datasets of environmental and social responses using R and ESRI ArcGIS 10.x, and created data visualizations for reports and documents provided to managers, stakeholders, and the public.• Facilitated interagency, public, and private sector partnerships and cooperative agreements with local and federal governments to manage resources in the Lake Okeechobee watershed.• Worked with federal (ACOE, EPA, DOI), state (FDEP, SFWMD), local governments, and NGO partners to implement NEPA guidances to determine potential effects of proposed and current federal and state projects on the Lake Okeechobee system.• Designed restoration and plant management projects to improve fish and wildlife resources in Lake Okeechobee.• Procured necessary state and federal permits required for project implementation, created project bid documents and contracts, and provided contract management and contractor oversight of projects.• Coordinated habitat monitoring with internal personnel and external agencies to evaluate ecosystem responses.• Helped develop a comprehensive Black Crappie Management Plan for the state of Florida through cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.• Collaborated with Division of Freshwater Fisheries Management staff and leadership to improve the design and practical applications of agency annual report documents.

During my two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic I coordinated energy efficient rocket stove construction projects and bio-sand water filter projects in four communities. To successfully complete these projects I obtained a U.S. Agency for International Development grant to build 50 stoves and install 20 filters. The projects decreased respiratory and gastro-intestinal health problems for 70 five-member households, reduced local deforestation, and trained six technicians with long-term sustainable labor skills. I also implemented programs in environmental stewardship, deforestation prevention, water and energy conservation, waste management, hygiene and sanitation, and HIV/AIDS education.
