Through this project, I am applying my bioinformatic and statistical skills to perform whole genome sequencing and analysis on a set of monomorphic isolates of this bacterium. The aim of this study is to determine whether whole genome sequencing can improve our ability to track outbreaks, and provide more data which may be informative in predicting bacterial phenotypes (such as the acquisition of antibiotic resistance).
