As a continued member of the development team, my role will be to lead our MABVI's Team With A Vision Boston Marathon running team, our 4 day weekend of events, and fundraising efforts which contribute to 37% of our overall MABVI fundraising. In total our team collaboratively raises $1.35 million to support our parent organization, MAB Community Services.Working closely with the Chief Advancement Officer, Individual Giving Officer, and Constituent Relations Manager, while being responsible for coordinating the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired's Boston Marathon Team With A Vision. To assist with strategic team development, recruitment, and financial support in relationship to the Boston Marathon while growing the fundraising opportunities year round.Engage with our local community to recruit runners for our year round team events which include guide runners, charity bib runners, and runners who are blind or visually impaired, work closely with 40-60 volunteers who support our weekend of events, and build relationships with our corporate partners.

For the second year in a row, coordinated MABVI’s Boston Marathon Team With A Vision by providing support to 70 team members (who include sighted running guides and athletes who are visually impaired and blind from across the US, Canada, France, UK, and Hong Kong. Recruited and managed 7 fundraising runners who raised a total of $73,131 in 6 months (from Dec 2015 to May 2016), in total our team raised $149,072 (a $20k increase from the year prior).-Managed logistics for members of Team With A Vision over a period of 4 days during the Boston Marathon weekend, which includes airport pickups, matching sighted running guides, accommodations, transportation to and from events.-Work closely with Delta Gamma Fraternity who provided 50+ volunteer support over the 4 day Boston Marathon Weekend. Members of Delta Gamma provided 210 hours of volunteer support to our athletes and staff members. Incorporated Volunteer app into event weekend which streamlined communication among staff members and volunteers.-Utilizing social media, identified opportunities to engage celebrity runners alongside Team With A Vision. -Work closely with Marketing Coordinator to help promote MABVI’s Team With A Vision. -Coordinated volunteer sighted running guides on a weekly basis from March to April for Jr Team With A Vision, a group of adolescents who live in greater Boston area and are blind or visually impaired with some cognitive delay.-Researched opportunities for sponsorship acquisition-Draft sponsorship proposals and maintain sponsorship agreements

Thrilled to announce my involvement with Team Sea to See, an amazing group of cyclists who will take part in RAAM, to race 3200 miles from Oceanside, CA to Maryland in June 2018. Team Sea to See is committed to proving that blind people can succeed in any field. We believe that demonstrating this capacity to succeed is critical to empowering others in the blind community and changing society’s perceptions of the blind.We believe that lack of exposure to and understanding of blindness plays a major role in keeping employment rates so low for the blind community. Employers aren’t intrinsically hostile to the blind; they just don’t understand how blind people can, through ingenuity and adaptive technology, enjoy the same success as their sighted colleagues. We’re taking on the high-profile challenge of the Race Across America to show what blind success looks like, on and off the bike. We are a team of successful business people and athletes who share blindness as a common characteristic. We’re entering the world’s most grueling endurance cycling race, the 2018 Race Across America (RAAM), to show the immense capabilities of blind people and to raise awareness of the abysmal employment rates of the blind. We will be highlighting our achievements through a major media campaign and a full-length documentary.

Maintained the stores' day to day responsibilities which included opening and closing, alteration requests, and interacted with vendors for order fulfillment.

I served as a Customer Service Lead for a busy lifestyle music brand company, First Act Inc., where I manage the daily operations and logistics between 2 warehouses and over 50 retailers. As a Customer Service Lead, I coordinated customer orders to ensure timely product delivery as well as adhered to customer UCC standards, packaging requirements, and routing requirements. I was the primary contact between Account Executives, Management, and Warehouse Representatives on product availability and order flow. My strengths in improving the flow and ease of shipments between major retailers and First Act Inc have resulted in reducing charge-back penalties by 70%. I worked with EDI for all 850, 860, and 865 documents as well as meet customer ASN requirements on a daily basis.

I was one of three full time employees in a high fashion women's clothing store described as the Best New Women’s Clothing Store in the greater Boston metropolitan area for 2006. I exceeded sales goals for the months of September 06, April 07, and August 07 set by owner. Through maintaining excellent relationships with customers, I was able to consistently sell $1500-$6000 per day. I established excellent working relationships with 40 vendors supplying various women's clothing, shoes, and accessories.

While working at Filene's, I manipulated spreadsheets and reports to complete thorough business analysis. After discussing top sellers with store managers as well as merchandise layouts and specific items on sale, I was able to maximize sales. I wrote 40 purchase orders per month and entered in markdowns once projected. By researching and presenting new trends to the buyer, we were able to discuss which items to show for advertising proofs.
