I launched Reese Conservation Consulting (www.reeseconservationconsulting.com) to provide capacity for land trusts and conservation organizations on an as-needed basis, and to work directly with landowners to help them evaluate and select conservation strategies for their land. Certified small business and woman-owned business. Contracts include:● Interim state coordinator of the Forest Legacy Program for the Virginia Department of Forestry. Oversaw approximately $21M in multiple funding rounds, managed drawdown, planned new Inflation Reduction Act funding administration, conducted outreach, and coordinated partners, contractors, and landowners.● Organizational assessment and capacity-building guidance for Broad Water Innovations, a mitigation bank steward, and for Ever Green Team, an expanding land trust.● Project management for the Historic Germanna Foundation to conserve a key historic property utilizing $1.3M in federal and state funds, and for a RGGI-funded county flood preparedness grant for First Earth|2030, a startup environmental assets firm.● Grantwriting to facilitate land and easement acquisition for NOVA Parks, Lancaster County, TriWay Trail, and Virginia Conservation Credit Exchange.● Wrote a guide to accessing public-sector conservation funding to help the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust accelerate its mission.

The Commission provides a national voluntary accreditation program to build and recognize strong land trusts, foster public confidence in land conservation, and help ensure the long-term protection of land. I serve as a member of the governing board, contributing to applicant review, program development, and organizational governance. I also serve as the chair of the Requirements Committee.
