I manage the strategy, planning and implementation of communications/PR plans for international brands. Accounts currently handled by our team include Unilever (Dove, Lifebuoy, Knorr, Signal, Pond's Men), Samsung, Carlsberg, WeChat among others.

During my time at the We Women Foundation, I led the development and implementation of all PR/social media efforts for the organization. I also planned and executed an effective awareness and fundraising campaign to increase the organization profile, as well as online traffic and donations. The campaign was successful in surpassing its fundraising goal and the organization received a lot of exposure promoting its mission. I was able to secure coverage about the founder, students and the campaign documentary in international and online outlets such as The Daily Beast, The Christian Science Monitor, Yahoo!, as well as top regional (Myanmar/Thailand) outlets such as Democratic Voice of Burma, The Irrawaddy, Mizzima News and Chiang Mai City News.

Headed licensing initiative for distribution of content on websites, mobile applications, databases and information platforms. Successfully negotiated and managed strategic partnerships with content outlets such as Associated Press, Gale (part of Cengage Learning), Financial Content, Newstex, LinkedIn, Zemanta, Outside.in (acquired by AOL) and DocStoc, among others.

Spearheaded and rolled out Latin American distribution platform for Business Wire, including Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Colombia. Successfully brokered online partnerships with top online portals and negotiated and closed agreements with leading news agencies and media outlets in Latin America. Also, managed barter deals with trade shows that dealt specifically with the region and Hispanic media.

Provided operational and client/prospect support for account executives. Worked closely with high-profile clients to define their objectives and determine the most effective products/services. Acted as liaison between newsroom editorial team and clients in planning and problem solving complex distributions.

Proofread and edited press releases and provided extensive customer service to senior level communications professionals from publicly traded Fortune 500 companies in an extremely fast paced client-driven environment. Also, assessed and evaluated all company software upgrades before they were implemented.

International Media Services (IMS) was acquired by Marketwire in 2008.Translated and summarized articles from IT trade publications from South America in a weekly bulletin providing clients with overall descriptions of print/online coverage. Produced monthly qualitative and quantitative media analysis to determine market shares of IT companies.
