Led the overall design strategy and brand vision for JC Penney’s private label women’s activewear brand, Xersion. Managed the design process including trend/market research, concept development, color and fabric development, sketching, and tech pack creation.Drove innovation and elevated design with the brand re-launch for Spring of 2021. Expanded sustainability efforts by partnering with the fabric team to convert key items to recycled poly. Collaborated with the men’s and kids' divisions for improved synergy for the brand as a whole.Played an integral part in the launch of Stylus, JC Penney’s “Styleisure” brand for Fall 2020, establishing the brand's seasonal color and trend, fabric platform, and key items. Successfully navigated the launch amidst the pandemic shutdown.Partnered with Product Development to expand the fabric platform in the bottoms category resulting in a multi-compression level merchandising story to cater to the customers’ diverse active lifestyle.

Promoted to Xersion, JC Penney’s private label women’s activewear brand, taking ownership of all apparel categories in the women’s division.Spearheaded the introduction of Xersion Lounge, identifying a white space in the assortment that resulted in exceeding sales goals by over $2MM in 2018. In addition, Xersion Lounge led to increased brand penetration and greater lifestyle merchandising for in-store and online marketing.Broadened Xersion’s sports bra assortment, partnered with overseas suppliers to engineer high support molded cup bras. Supplemented additional styles to create a multi-support assortment encompassing the customers’ needs.Led an assistant designer and co-op student, empowering associates to take on stretch assignments to reach career goals and increase exposure to management within the design organization.
