As Head of Design & User Experience I lead the sector of 40+ creative designers containing four departments of Industrial Design, UX Design, Service Design and User Research. In my role I orchestrate design work at Ericsson globally, evangelizing the Human Centered Design perspective and securing a consistent brand and user experience in our total portfolio of hardware, software, and services. I am continuously expanding the design sector to advance the positions of what Human Centered approach can bring to the company, always in tight collaboration with product management, engineering and development. Each year my team brings human centered innovation to hundreds of products and solutions in the different business segments of Ericsson, proven not only by satisfied customers, but also by several design awards.

In my role as Head of Industrial Design & Usability I secure brand consistency and usability of the Ericsson hardware portfolio and provide UX services to the organisation. Strategic design decisions regarding our hardware products is part of my daily work, in collaboration with Ericsson development sites globally. To my help I have built a constantly growing team of 19 industrial designers and three UX designers. Developing my team is one of my passions and I always achieve a high level of commitment by my employees. I develop the Ericsson Design Strategy and Design Guidelines to cater for world class products. In my daily work I present Ericsson design strategies, my team and our competencies to our organization, always with good response. During my time as Head of Design & Usability my team has won several design awards.

In this position I worked as team leader, responsible of managing the design team of eleven staff members. I planned projects and appointed the right resources. I was responsible for development and improvement of our design process and our ways of working. Internal selling of the industrial design competence and my team was a common task. I was deeply involved in the strategic work regarding our vision and future design strategies and during 2012 I worked with developing and implementing Ericssons new industrial design guideline. Strategic design decisions regarding Ericssons product families in close collaboration with product management was part of my daily work. Efficiency of work, industrial design consistency and improvement of usability in all of our products was always my main focus.

As manager at Knightec AB I was responsible for the industrial design department including eight co-workers. I was responsible for budget, sales, result, personnel and development of the team. As a seller I worked closely to my customers. Over the years I have worked with development of my existing customers as well as attractive sales pitches to new ones. As a result, the Knightec design department grew from one to eight co-workers with good profitability in my time as manager. In my role as industrial designer at Knightec I collaborated in numerous successful projects. Mostly in early development stages where I as industrial designer had the possibility to define and clarify the customer values and the product functionality. I also led strategic development projects where I worked with things such as strategic design, branding and project planning. The last years I focused on project management and strategic design projects, such as finding and clarify the company's soul and core values, create guidelines for future design and construction of brands.

My first job as industrial designer at a big, technically heavy, consultant firm. Internal selling of my competence was an important part of my daily work. My support to the sellers in the selling of industrial design resulted in a lot of interesting and successful industrial design and development projects.
