In the role of a Senior Risk Manager within Enterprise Risk Management and as Member of Senior Staff in Key Function between 2015 and 2024, I created and enhanced various elements of Zurich’s Enterprise Risk Management and applied these at Group, legal entity, functional level and for large, multi-year projects (IFRS 17/9, SAP conversions).

Following a secondment in Group Risk Management (GRM), I assumed the role as Senior Risk & Control Expert (incl. Sox Analyst) and Member of Senior Staff where, I established and maintained Zurich’s methodology for internal controls in close collaboration with business partners for core insurance processes, entity-level processes, supported the implementation for North American entities and for Group Functions, performed oversight and quality assurance globally and provided guidance to various stakeholders between 2010 and 2015.

As Audit Manager in Group Audit, I was in a team-leading role and orchestrated various global audits with a focus on governance themes between 2006 and 2009.

As Audit Manager and engagement team leader within KPMG’s Financial Services Audit Department, I led audit teams for financial and regulatory audits in the private banks, investment banks and a major Swiss bank between 1999 and 2005. Key activities and achievements in this role include: • Planned, performed and reported audits under the supervision of a leading banking auditor (such as financial statement according to various accounting principles, in-depth-process audits from trading to back-office in a major Swiss bank and various regulatory/compliance audits in AML, Qualified Intermediaries, Sanctions etc.) for clients in private banking, investment banking and asset management segments. • Consulted and supported a client during the implementation project of a new banking system (avaloq).• Developed and provided an education program on the KPMG audit methodology and respective IT-application to all employees within the financial services audit department.
