Besides the ongoing discussion about various techniques and new tools to design space, for us not the methods but space as environment and the impact on the people matters. No doubt, the utilization of new tools is important for generating new spaces. But utmost important is the designing, the creativity and intuition, the great ability to generate atmospheric spaces.Architecture is space. It includes space continuum, form finding, visual interaction and sensual aspects, as the materiality, surfaces, brightness, coloring, temperature, humidity and acoustics. At the same it is coalesced with the complexity of being acquainted with interdisciplinary, time, social and economic aspects. Perhaps this complexity causes that there is no focus on the design, the conscious experience of space and the effect on people. Architecture must not be replaced by automatism. Repetition and standardization cut off the conscious perception.
