My name is Andrea Morales, I am a Mexican photographer born in Sonora in 2000. I have a degree in Communication Sciences from the Autonomous University of Baja California, generation 2023. I live in Tijuana since 2017.My style is developed within my daily life, looking for the particularity of it. Being a young person, I surround myself with a changing environment, searching for identity, spontaneity and curiosity. This, tied with aesthetics, best represents what I seek to capture with my photographs. I explore using different techniques, following that line of self-discovery of identity, flowing between digital and analog, the new and its root in the old.I have collaborated with local artistic projects such as La Casa Norte, Radiante, La Alanina, and others. My work has been exhibited in “Sundaze”, organized by 6radiente, and I have won first place in the photography contest “La Muerte Hoy Sí Tiene Permiso” organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of my university.I have been featured by SDVoyager magazine as part of their “Daily Inspirations” section, as well as contributing to the book “Aquí También Es Así” by Gabriel Boils and Bernardo Núñez.Currently, I am part of the project “Cuarto Latente”, which consists of offering workshops, classes, and open spaces for photographers and image enthusiasts, where I take care of the analog aspect of the project, such as darkroom activities and film photography, as well as alternative photographic processes.
