Wait..what does "Haka" mean? The Haka is a type of ancient Māori war dance or challenge, traditionally used on the battlefield, as well as when groups came together in peace. Haka are a fierce display or posture of a tribe's pride, strength and unity. Ironically, the name was derived based on frequent travels to New Zealand and being an Alaska based company, coupled with ones desire to go forth unwavering with ones idea, with strength and unity given the team or tribe that created that idea. My firm's logo is a mask that is a combination of a Māori, Haida, and western African masks.
