Software Engineer in the Data Infrastructure Org. Collaborated with several teams to streamline and optimise their data pipelines leading to massive cost savings and raising awareness for better management of resources. Developed and maintained the new, large-scale messaging system for all of Facebook, supporting a sustained data throughput in excess of 1TB/s. At the same time migrating multiple internal teams to the new messaging infrastructure. Supported the biggest continuous deployment of software in the industry - pushing the Facebook frontend site.

Part of the team that was responsible for the migration of the LiveRail infrastructure from AWS to FB stack; which went smoother than I was expecting. Unfortunately due to business reasons the whole brand was canned and years of hard work went down the drain.
