Indeed, the HW Lead Engineer is overall responsible for the electronic discipline from the beginning through to release and in the readiness of the hardware – electronic components technically for release.Main Responsibilities:Strategizes, monitors and documents HW development milestones and elaborate the tasks.Coordination of a team approximately consisting of 9 members to develop both the HW architecture/platform and produce concepts respectively.Refine new and old designs in such a way as to become more affordable efficient, and manufacturable, design-to-cost approach.Active knowledge transfer at all levelsBenchmarking and value analysis.Process improvements based on lessons learned.Integrate HW into the final schematic as an integrator.Ensuring that HW designers respect the agreed requirements and when following the internal development protocol.I’m responsible for developing a suitable test case plan to validate both the HW design’s robustness: to all aspects of its integrity and to EMC as well as reviewing and releasing test reports. Other responsibilities of the validation supervisor include analyzing customer quotations, quality assurance, interaction with customers, and requirement engineering.I must assure cost within the given budget and follow up with all project dates. Also, I should coordinate the HW design optimization saving cost efforts. I should also provide support and ensure a successful product launch into series production.Interact efficiently with other project disciplines like SW, Mechanical, System, Logistics, Purchase, Simulation to make the work effective.Supervising my team that controlled the project qualification through recommended tests, EMC, and reliability assessments as per the customer’s specifications. Additionally, I controlled this to make sure we maintained the project deadline.Organized for meetings to the production department strictly to check the status of component delivery to the production department.

Main role was to manage yearly qualifications for series projects, including any electrical change (with tools : WISE, PCB-cam tool, LT-Spice simulations, Mathcad).Responsible to evaluate the reports from qualification of the new components, to analyze the anomaly's and report to customer.Responsible for new replacements based on data sheets from system or sourcing activity.Manage the team to qualify the project based on recommendation tests, EMC and Reliability tests, also accordingly requirements from specification of the project.Manage the meetings with production team and tracking the delivery status for components from suppliers to production department.Responsible for investigation regarding complaint parts from production department.Responsible for last time buy or bridge buy decisions until new component will be qualified.Making the reports for customers regarding new PCB changes.Responsible for electrical and mechanical BOM changes.During spin off between Continental and Vitesco, the responsibilities remained the same.

Responsible for correction of drawings assembly including mechanical parts and checking electrical schematic of the cooler.Reporting the frequency failures of production equipment, planning the maintenance and to prevent anomalies of the equipment.Increase the number of final products with improvements on the line , the scope of the project was low cost and to reduce process assembly time.Responsible for SOP's (standard operating procedure) , avoid manufacturing mistakes for internal products and combine different tasks on the same working position. Collaboration with quality department and implement the quality alerts.Analyzing and improving the lines with new equipment (proposal and quotation).Observation and reporting: OEE reports for every machine identifying losses and improving the productivity of manufacturing equipment (eliminating time and material waste) . Objective of this project was to use all available time including regularly maintenance and lunch break with 80% efficiency.Improvement was to reduce the time change for matrix with 80%, from 45 min to 5-8 min in plastic insertion department.
