Malawi

- Based in Malawi, worked closely with the Malawi Ministry of Education, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), and Cambridge Education in the domains of Education and Technology. The role entailed facilitating country engagement, managing stakeholders, overseeing Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) efforts, in addition to conducting research and performing qualitative and quantitative data analysis and visualization.- Design and roll-out of the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework.- Conducted in-depth qualitative research in public schools in Malawi to understand the challengesand issues in the implementation of the NNP using semi-structured interviews, focus groupdiscussions, lesson observations, learning circle observations, and ethnographic method. Produced areport with the main findings and recommendations.- Carried out Design-based Implementation Research (DBIR) to improve school-based teacherprofessional development in public schools in Malawi in the context of the NNP.- Data analysis and visualization (including education and geospatial data) for the National Numeracy Programme in Malawi.

Working on the project “Combatting food waste in Aotearoa New Zealand”, conducting research and data analysis on the topic of preventing food loss in primary stages of the food supply chain in the face of climate extremes. - Leading a team of six analysts, I spearheaded data analyses that provided policymakers and educators with crucial insights to improve teaching practices, inform strategic decision-making, and optimize resource allocation.- Delivered user-friendly data products (reports, dashboards) for policymakers, school directors, and teachers using Power BI, Tableau and Google Data Studio.- These innovative data management practices benefited approximately 2 million students and more than 3,600 schools.

I was part of a team of five junior consultants on a project to develop the IT Strategy and Master Planning for the Municipal Government of Contagem, Minas Gerais. I conducted interviews with civil servants across different departments, collected and analyzed data, assessed the government’s IT infrastructure and architecture, defined the desired target landscape and developed the Master Plan.
