This journey has reinforced my belief in the connection between eye-brain communication and its impact on the learning process.As the co-founder of Wake Forest Smiles and iQ Eyewear, my commitment extended to business development, employee development, overseeing operations, recruitment, and training. My healthcare leadership experience and ICF-trained coaching skills enhanced my education of products, services, and patient care.Throughout my career, I've achieved milestones, including leading an integrated vision and dental care practice, earning recognition as a leader in the community and serving as a board member of the NC State Board of Opticians, cultivating partnerships as a leader in the community, and mentoring practitioners for providing the ultimate patient care.In 2020, I transitioned into industrial-organizational psychology and learning and development, driven by my interest in the aspects of motivation and leadership development. This pivot was motivated by the need I noticed during the pandemic, as I recognized that learning and working remotely would be challenging for many.In 2023, I completed graduate studies at Purdue University, enriching my career and equipping me to collaborate with HR and learning professionals. This achievement empowers me to drive employee engagement and personnel development, leveraging my skills for ongoing learning and a better workplace.
