As a remote contractor working on the IBM Brazil project for the T-Mobile/Sprint Network in the USA, I was a member of the SQL Server team that oversaw the support of almost 1,600 SQL Servers, alongside two offshore teams located in India and the Philippines. My role involved leading security remediation projects, troubleshooting various SQL-related issues, handling incidents, change requests, and service requests for FCIs, AGs, DAGs, and Azure servers. I also provided guidance to business and applications teams on migration projects, database standards, and security protocols.

As a member of the Brazilian Space Program (Brazilian Space Agency), I contributed to the development of technical documentation on a range of subjects, including database management and maintenance automation, DBMS security, installation and configuration standards, best practices for implementing ITIL processes, and planning consolidation projects, including upgrade and migration objectifying cost savings.

I served as a valuable resource for the Civilian Police of Federal District, providing comprehensive support and maintenance for a diverse array of over 80 MSSQL servers, which included complex transactional replication environments. Among my responsibilities was the design and implementation of a SQL 2019 FCI solution with AG, as well as the architecture and deployment of high-availability and disaster recovery solutions consisting of 2 FCIs and AlwaysOn. I also spearheaded the consolidation of the institution's virtual SQL Server infrastructure, resulting in significant cost savings, as well as the decommissioning of more than 60 servers. In addition, I developed technical and organizational documentation that outlined quality standards for MSSQL installation and development, covering T-SQL best practices, security policies, inventories, and the implementation of a standardized framework for ITIL processes across three regions - development, quality assurance, and production.

I served as an offshore resource for HSBC Bank North America, working alongside a team of three onshore and five offshore DBAs spanning the USA, India, and Brazil. My role involved providing comprehensive support for complex database systems used by business teams located throughout HSBC offices in the USA, which required a deep understanding of SQL Server architecture. I was also responsible for ensuring high availability (through physical multi-instance failover clusters and DB Mirroring) and disaster recovery for critical database systems. In addition, I provided technical assistance to over 90 project managers and developers via phone calls and chat, troubleshooting a range of technical issues related to data centers housing around 450 servers and 4,000 databases. My expertise extended to SQL Server versions 2000/05/08/08R2.

During my time as a resource for the Brazilian Cooperation Bureau, I gained expertise in SQL Server 2000/2005 and performed a range of tasks, including implementation, monitoring, and diagnosing performance issues. I also managed security, optimized performance by utilizing filegroups, conducted capacity planning, backup/restore planning, and automated maintenance through job scheduling. Additionally, I programmed Transact-SQL, performed data import/export using DTS, SSIS, and BCP, and conducted troubleshooting and tuning of database structures. I also possess skills in installation, management, and programming with Reporting Services Server 2000/2005 and Visual Studio 2003/2005. Lastly, I performed database design and data modeling tasks to support the Bureau's objectives.

As a resource for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I performed a range of database management tasks utilizing SQL Server 7.0/2000/2005. These tasks included implementation, monitoring, and maintenance, which involved managing security, optimizing performance through the use of filegroups, capacity planning, backup/restore operations, and automating maintenance through job scheduling. I also programmed Transact-SQL, performed data import/export using DTS, SSIS, and BCP, managed Linked Servers, implemented high availability through replication and log shipping, and conducted troubleshooting and tuning of database structures. Additionally, I utilized SQL Profiler to diagnose locking issues.
